The Saturn Electric Melters are ideal for a small shop who is melting small lots of Gold, Silver, Copper, Brass, Aluminum or even solder alloys. The system is equipped with a high quality PYT Platinum Thermocouple for long life and accurate temperature measurement. Once the melter arrives at the temperature which was set on the digital display, an audible alarm will sound letting you know that it has reached the desired melting temperature. The maximum melt temperature is 1120°C (2048°F) and the melt capacities are 1 kg (35 ozs.) gold for the Saturn 1 and 2kg (70 ozs.) gold for the Saturn 2.
Typical melt times for a full load of material is about 20 minutes for the first melt and 5-10 minutes for subsequent melts. The melting muffle is produced from a extremely high quality refractory which will allow for long life of the heating coils. The systems are available in 110V and 220V, 1-phase and come with a One Year Parts and Labor Warranty.
